The Giants split the Alexandria Aces in a double header on July 18 2015 after winning their first matchup and losing the second of the night. In the first game, the Giants fought to earn a 4-3 victory after being down 3-0 in the bottom of the third. However, they lost the second game 15-7 and were unable to leave the double header with a sweep.

The Giants redeemed themselves with a 4-2 victory over the Rockville Express on July 17, 2015. The Giants had lost 4-3 to the Express only one night prior, but an incredible performance at Criswell Automotive Field brought a victory to Gaithersburg.

On July 20, The Giants played their last home game of the 2015 season against the Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts. The Giants played their hearts out and left Criswell Automotive Field with a 5-3 victory over the Thunderbolts.

On July 19, 2015, the Baltimore Redbirds defeated the Gaithersburg Giants 6-4 at Criswell Automotive Field. It was a close game, but the Redbirds ended up coming out on top with the victory. Before this game, the Giants honored their host families for providing a home to 16 players coming from all over the country.

The Rockville Express topped the Gaithersburg Giants 4-2 on the July 8th matchup. The Giants had gained an early lead in the first inning, but the Express strung together some successful at-bats in the third and fourth innings to take the lead from the Giants. It was a rainy night at Knight Field, but the Giants decided to play all nine innings in hopes that they could come back and get the win.

On July 6th, the Gaithersburg Giants defeated the number 12 team in the nation when they defeated the Bethesda Big Train 2-1. The weather held off long enough at Criswell Automotive Field to allow the Giants to win their seventh game of the season and their first win against Bethesda. The Big Train has defeated Gaithersburg three times prior to this game, but a combination of great pitching, defense, and comeback hitting led the Giants to victory.

The Gaithersburg Giants played a double header against the D.C. Grays on Monday, June 29th. The first game was a resumption of a previous game that was rained out on June 8th in the top of the third inning. The Giants continued that game on the 29th for a 13-6 victory over the Grays, but failed to get the second win. They lost the next game 8-2 and are now 6-14 in the season so far.

Giants Defeat the Braves

The Gaithersburg Giants defeated the Herndon Braves 6-2 on July 28th. The Giants (5-13) were on a three-game winning streak before they suffered two difficult losses on the road and dealt with inclement weather that lead to game postponements. This victory gets the Giants back on track before their double header against the DC Grays on Monday, June 29th.

The Giants defeated the Takoma Thunderbolts 2-0 on June 22nd to gain their third consecutive win. The Giants (4-11) had been defeated by the Thunderbolts twice earlier in the season, but they found a way to get the win and keep their new winning streak alive.

The Gaithersburg Giants’ right hand pitcher Taylor Bloom was selected as the Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 14, 2015 by the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League. Bloom was chosen for this award after pitching two wins against the Alexandria Aces and the Takoma Thunderbolts. Bloom is also currently leading the league in the number of strikeouts with 28 in 15.2 innings.
